Our Story
From a Dream to Guyana’s Favorite Custom Bakery
Hi, I'm Dianne Mekdeci. Teenie’s Kitchen is the result of a lifelong dream to build something of my own. Growing up in a family of Guyanese entrepreneurs, I saw firsthand what it took to build a business from the ground up. After living in Canada, I returned home with a passion for bold flavors and a mission: to end the era of "dry cakes" that taste like bread with icing.
How It Started In 2019, I started baking moist, flavorful birthday cakes for friends. What started as a small favor quickly grew. Word spread, and soon, major companies like Digicel and WTG were reaching out for Mother's Day treats, press conference catering, and staff appreciation desserts.
Our Philosophy: Taste Above All Today, Teenie’s Kitchen (formerly Teenie’s) stays true to that hands-on spirit.
No Fondant: We choose not to use fondant because we believe beauty shouldn't come at the expense of taste.
